Following our debut cross-genre anthology, Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers, and the magical-themed Of Enchantment, Enigma, and the Infinite, we’re announcing more themed anthologies! On L. Frank Baum’s birthday, in 2026, we are bringing you to the Land of Oz!

Jendia Gammon, lifelong Oz fan, Nebula and BSFA Award finalist author, head of Stars and Sabers, and author, agent, and Oz expert Ernie Chiara are co-editing an Oz story anthology, titled Omniboz: Tales from the Land of Oz! Cover art will be by Oz artist and writer Eric Shanower!

L. Frank Baum’s iconic fairyland of Oz has captured the imagination of millions of all ages, starting with his fabulous and quixotic original fourteen Oz books. Those books greatly influenced Jendia’s writing, and the illustrations by John R. Neill influenced her art. The illustration of Ozma, ruler of Oz, in the header is by Jendia Gammon.

Jendia’s Note: Without L. Frank Baum, I simply would not be the writer I am today. His delightful, strange, sometimes terrifying, and always stunning fairyland tales will endure forever. I wanted to honor him on his birthday by featuring stories by authors who are similarly inspired, with new Oz tales of their own, based on his lands.

Dawson, Nicole Field, Patrick Barb, and Vincent V. Cava! We will announce the crowd-funding campaign along with the cover reveal in the near future. We can’t wait to share this set of new Oz stories with you!
