Jendia Gammon and Gareth L. Powell of Stars and Sabers Publishing have acquired a cozy science fiction novella, The Ah Huat Engineering Cookbook and Organizing Manual, by author Eliane Boey (Club Contango; Other Minds, both via Dark Matter INK), pitched as Legends and Lattes meets Escape Velocity, in which former shuttle berth scalper, Junxi, now tosses noodles at Ah Huat Engineering—shuttle body shop and 6th best noodle house to Freeport Station. But the shop’s lease is soon threatened by corporate landlords, and to protect her new life—and right a past wrong—she’ll have to do the unthinkable: talk to, and organize, the neighbors. Publication is slated for February 2027. Paul Lucas at Janklow & Nesbit brokered the deal for world English rights.

We are over the moon to work again with Eliane Boey, who has contributed a short story to our anthology, the magic-themed Of Enchantment, Enigma, and the Infinite.
