Publisher Jendia Gammon of Stars and Sabers Publishing acquired the riveting science fiction novella Downdraft from award-winning author Gareth L. Powell (Jitterbug and Embers of War; Titan Books). An amnesiac wakes drowning in a flooded coffin. If he can’t recover his memories, fourteen thousand people are going to die. Following a string of clues, he begins to unpack the complex relationship between Lee and Kerri, two outcast teenagers in a small Welsh border town, only to discover that while one of them will grow up to be a mass murderer, the other will be corrupted by something even more terrifying. Publication is slated for October 2027.
