Omniboz: Tales from the Land of Oz leans into both the fantastical and uplifting parts of L. Frank Baum’s Oz universe, as well as veering into darker, scarier elements… including one truly spooky and gory tale by Hugo Award winning author Adrian Tchaikovsky, who is also a contributor to our cross-genre Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers! The book contains a partition page signaling the shift to edgier tales. This is not considered a children’s book, for that reason. But earlier in the book, the tone is lighter and even humorous. I (Jendia Gammon) and my co-editor, Ernie Chiara, have both contributed stories as well.
